A vibrant primary school in Birkenhead is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team and support their Year 1/2 classes. If you have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and are passionate about making a difference in young learners’ lives, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
– Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to Year 1/2 students.
– Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.
– Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and learning strategies.
– Foster an inclusive and nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic development.
– Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to track progress and share insights.
Qualifications and Requirements:
– Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with SEN students, is essential.
– A strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children and staff.
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning journeys.
