I came to New Directions Education having finished a year as a Primary PE Teacher with the desire to be back in the classroom teacher role, having had my own classes for the 3 previous years. This would and has given me the ability to go into a variety of primary schools across the Wirral to teach all of the ages and gain very valuable experience that has helped me to grow and develop as a Teacher. Their ability to link with the local schools has given me the opportunity to make some positive relationships with some of the schools that I have gone into to be called back. Jen is very good at knowing the ages and types of schools that I would like to go in and is able to remember the schools that I have been to and she then asks about going into those that I have enjoyed and feel comfortable in. They are good at calling to ask about going into a school enough in advance, whether this is day(s) before for upcoming ones or early enough to get to the school on the day. New Directions Education was my choice to use as they are local to the Wirral which is where I wanted to go, had positive reviews and the staff are very friendly. 3 words for New Directions Education are helpful, friendly, reliable.

I registered with New Directions Education Ltd as an Examination Invigilator in autumn 2017. NDE provided me with full invigilation and safeguarding training, and this has resulted in my having worked over 300 hours facilitating and supervising both external and internal examinations in schools in the Wirral and Cheshire West and Chester Authorities. It has also enabled me to secure invigilation work at two universities.

Lauran Collins has been my Consultant for most of my time with NDE. Lauran is extremely professional and proactive. She always seeks to match me with schools, and find me suitable placements. Some six months ago, she placed me in a primary school to cover the post of School Administrator due to the postholder’s sickness absence. This has led to my continuing in this post for a further term.
