I joined New Directions initially for the occasional days work to go alongside a University Degree. Even though my days were somewhat random, on nearly every occasion the company found work for me. I was able to work in different areas in South Wales and they catered for this. When my circumstances changed and I was able to work more days New Directions could accommodate for this also.

My personal circumstances mean that sometimes I have to book odd days off, being a single mum and still continuing in education warrants this…however my close relationship with my account manager means that they understand my situation and as long as I keep them informed in time then both the company and the school I work for understand and accept this.   Phone calls to ND usually start with ‘Hi Carly, how are the children ..’ they take and interest in me not only the work I provide.

When a long term supply position came up I had a phone call to say I was considered for it, and thankfully I was accepted and now I work in a fantastic school who call me in for extra hours if they require extra help as they know I am reliable.

New Directions are the stepping stones to my career and without them I wouldn’t be where I am.
