I’ve always found Ella and the team to be truly professional. I was concerned when I first joined New Directions Education that I wouldn’t receive much work, as is standard with a lot of other agencies, but immediately I started with a few days and within a matter of a couple of weeks I was working the majority of days. Ella is always professional and listened to my concerns and found me work when I needed it. If there was an occasion where I couldn’t work or I didn’t fancy returning to a certain school, Ella never made me feel as if this was wrong and I shouldn’t feel like this. Instead, she would listen and then suggest alternative schools. I have no hesitation at the end of the day calling Ella to tell her how my day in a new school went and I know she will always strive to find me work. Even when I had an issue where I wasn’t able to work for 5 months of the year, Ella kept in touch and up to date with me. I am happy to say this matter has now been resolved and Ella remained supportive throughout. The highlight has been the quality of the schools I go to. Ella always seems to choose great schools suited to me. Ella is in frequent contact with me via telephone or email and I always feel if I were to have any concerns going back to a school, that my concerns would be handled in a professional way. The all-round friendliness of the entire team, in general, is one of the best things about working for New Directions.

There are not really words to describe the support that Ella has given me! Having a disability and just wanting to fit in and do your job – Ella has made this possible! Nothing is ever too much for her and I always know she is only a phone call away and no matter what my query, whether big or small, my mind is always put at ease. After recently being diagnosed with breast cancer, the support I have had from New Directions Education has been second to none, phone calls and texts to see how I am, and always the offer of support and the reassurance of knowing my placements will be ready for when I’m fit to return to work. A lot of places I have worked at look at the disability before meeting the person. New Directions did not do that. They got to know me and what I can do, and I have such a great relationship with them that I can tell them when I need help!

My relationship with my Account Manager Dan is great. He is always there on the end of the phone to answer any query I have. He is always happy to help. He lets me know what I am working in advance as much as possible, which is a great advantage. Dan is very approachable and is a pleasure to speak to about anything that is troubling me regarding my work.

My highlight of working with New Directions Education is landing a full time teaching role teaching my subject. As a new Teacher, I was finding it difficult to find a job teaching my own subject.
