New Directions Pharmacy Staff Cycles for Charity
Leading pharmaceutical supply agency New Directions has celebrated the efforts of Account Manager Andrew Harris in a cycling marathon of 52 miles.
Andrew took part in the charity drive cycling from Brecon to Cardiff in a bid to raise funds for Ty Hafan – one of the UK’s UK’s leading paediatric palliative care charities and offers care to children and support for their families, throughout Wales.
Andrew and his team of six cyclists managed to raise just over £2k for the charity in a mission that saw over 60 teams join forces to raise both funds and awareness for the organisation.
Speaking about taking part Andrew said ‘what an absolutely brilliant challenge to take part in – we came together as a team and worked to raise the monies Ty Hafan so much depends upon. I took on the very (unofficial) role of team logistics manager, nanny, tyre pumper and general motivational maniac. The team all committed to raising the funds after learning so much about the good work of the charity. We are exhausted…but very proud’.
