Client Services
New Directions Social Care specialises in delivering outstanding recruitment and training services to the social care sector. We work with the utmost integrity ensuring that we build valued working relationships that result in high calibre candidates joining some of the leading companies throughout the UK, in temporary and permanent placements. New Directions Social Care covers the spectrum, supplying a full range of social care professionals into various positions of responsibility within social care and associated sectors.
Our Recruitment and Selection Process
All our staff complete our robust recruitment and selection procedure and have been vetted in line with the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) national minimum standards.
All candidates are interviewed to identify their experience, skills and suitability to work within the social care sector.
An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS formerly CRB) is obtained by New Directions.
At least two references will be obtained and verified, one of which will be the candidate’s last employer and further employment covering the last five years of employment. Where the candidate has a history of working with vulnerable adults/children, all their previous employers will be contacted for a reference and reasons for leaving their employment will be verified. A full employment history is obtained and any gaps in employment are accounted for and verified.
Identification and training checks are made and copies of the original documentation are kept on file.
Before becoming active, all candidates are reviewed and a decision is made based on the outcome of both their references and DBS.
