Mental Health Support Worker
Caerphilly CF83
Pay rate £12.88 day rate £13.44 waking night rate
Set Hours – 8am-8pm days 8pm- 8am night

We are seeking compassionate and experienced support workers to work with serious and enduring mental illness and complex needs which may include support with self-harm. 

The Role
The role of the Mental Health Support Worker is to empower and support individuals we support, working flexibly to improve performance and outcomes for people who use our service.  

As a complex care project worker, and part of the team, you will be involved in day-to-day support including; 

Supporting individuals to live independently within a care setting, this may mean helping them to cook a meal, clean up or to work on art and craft projects.
Support, prompting and administering medication.
Engagement in social activities.
Carrying out supervisions
Liaise with Social Services, Benefits Agencies, Housing department and other relevant agencies
Organising group activities
Providing emotional support to the individuals

Ability to complete and regularly review relevant paperwork such as support plans and risk assessments.
